At the functional committee, the first topic discussed was the dematerialization. Tax dematerialization is functional and used by some actors in tourism for some time (and therefore confirmed as the source of economy), it remains to be done on other types of dematerialization. The dematerialization of documents including airline tickets is a hot topic for generating profits (upselling, saving time, saving paper) for airports, TO, and airlines. We have therefore developed a way to proceed within the XFT to advance this project. Another theme, cruises. We in this committee defined what a cruise and we reviewed the main features of these as Marsans (XFT Member) we shared. With these elements, we can ultimately create a true cruise segment type. We then continued work on the thesaurus, making a point on the lists supplied by members. The next working committee has been set for January 19, 2010.
